Hi, I’m Karlin!
I don’t think I’ve filled out an “about me” page since MySpace? #RIP
That probably tells you something about my age! I’m 31, and a born and raised Florida gal. Grew up in Bradenton, went to Florida State for college, had a brief time as a city girl in NYC before moving to St. Petersburg, where I live now!
Karlin Summer is my actual name, and if you’d told me a few years ago that I’d have almost a million people following that name on social media I would have said you were crazy.
After college, my attempted careers included… *takes deep breath*
Magazine journalist, restaurant server, home-services sales, restaurant server again, administrative assistant, insurance sales, restaurant server again, law office media assistant, restaurant server AGAIN, substitute teacher, and finally an actual 6th grade Language Arts teacher.
Despite always being a creative and extroverted person, I just never felt like that could be a career. I’m super glad the universe proved me wrong - and that even though I’m elderly, I posted my projects to TikTok. Because it’s my full-time job now!
I married #TheChad in 2022, and it’s been such a blast having this career together - he’s a realtor & property investor, so there will never be a lack of home projects or creative freedom in our lives! My main project right now is restoring our 1950’s true mid-century home here in St. Pete!
I have SO many more projects and paths that I want to follow and share with you guys, thank you so much for being here!
